After a stint with Larry Forgione in New York in France, New York and Los Angeles she also worked in Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. She was eventually appointed as executive chef for Butter. Guarnaschelli is a Food Network Iron Chef America contestant who competed against Cat Cora for the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 on Iron Chef America. In 2011, she was a contestant as the season's third runner to the winner of The Next Iron Chef, and she has served as on the panel for the show from the beginning. The contest ended in defeat for her Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. Following the conclusion of season 4, she became Geoffrey Zakarian's sous-chef.
